After scrapping Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes, the government is introducing new Rs 2000 notes. Here is the look of new note. New Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes will be released from November 10 onwards, said Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das while addressing the press.
“We have increased our production and trying to provide new currency notes as soon as possible. There has been no breach of any of the security features but for public the looks of fake Indian currency note is similar to genuine,” RBI governor Urijit Patel said.
